My personal encounter with Romy came about in the summer of 1963. I was a mere child, however she still remains one of my greatest and purest memories.
We were approaching on my father’s boat the Castle of Solanto in Sicily where she was staying with Alain Delon and their friend Michel Piccoli while Alain was starring in Luchino Visconti’s Il Gattopardo.
What I remember of that early part of my life is this vision in a white bikini waving from the rocks as we approached…She was absolutely breathtaking…up to this day she is still vivid in my mind. One of my greatest life inspirations…I was forever in love with her…
