Will Madonna have a wardrobe malfunction?

After the Black Eyed Peas’ lukewarm Super Bowl halftime show last year, the Super Bowl people are dipping back into the lately preferred bin of showbiz creatures and enlisted Madonna. Rumors of the Madge-time show percolated late in October, although Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. were in the mix at that point, which isn’t something the official announcement mentions. But in the event of a Minaj-less halftime show, Madonna’s at least is set to team with Cirque du Soleil.

The Super Bowl XLVI gig is handily timed for Madonna, as her movie W.E. drops two days before the big game. It’ll also be a wonderful or horrible launchpad for her new upcoming album.
