Kate Middleton: from accessory buyer to princess
In 2006 Kate was working as an accessory buyer for the retail clothing chain Jigsaw, In just a few a few hours Kate Middleton will be married to the future King of England Prince William of Wales. Catherine Elizabeth “Kate” Middleton is a 29 year old beautiful woman that caught the eye of a Prince, they met at the University of St Andrews in Fife, Scotland and as they say the rest is history. The story not unlike the one of Princess Mary of Denmark who was born in Hobart, Tasmania; the daughter of a Math professor, resonates with girls all over the World, who dream that one day their fair Prince will show up on his white stallion or Aston Martin and sweep them off their feet… how can you say no to a Prince? (Although late Princess Diana did in the end). Kate has a wonderful day ahead of her, and every wedding regardless of being a Royal one or not is a special day in every woman’s life.
Here are a few beauty delux tips to keep in mind for your big day.
Have a facial, but no later than a week to ten days before your big day. Any sooner and you risk spots and blemishes, so give your skin time to settle. A wedding day is not the time to try a hairstyle that is drastically different from your usual look. Have a style trial at least six weeks before and take photos to compare them and then recreate the one you like best. Do not use a deep conditioning mask on your hair on your wedding day or the day before: it may leave your hair too soft and limp making it harder to style. Instead, indulge in a treatment a week before and just stick to your normal shampoo and conditioner on the day.
If you opt for tan (and do be careful while out in the sun) do it at least two days beforehand. This gives it time for the tan to fade a little and any skin blemishes and imperfections can be exfoliated. Use a good primer under your make-up on the day to give your skin a perfect base. Do not use an oil-based foundation unless you have very dry skin. Instead, use a matte’ or mineral foundation to keep you shine-free .
Carry eye drops to refresh your eyes most likely on the big day you will be shedding a few tears and you want to try to keep red out… Do not forget to use a long-lasting lip stick to keep your pout perfect. Do use waterproof mascara as well. Do not leave it to the big day to have a manicure: your nails may smudge in all the rush, so get it done the day before. Lastly while slipping on your Vera Wang or what other wedding dress you may have chosen remember that you are a Princess and act accordingly. Happy Day!
